I didnt even care about the smut for the last two acts This is closer to an actual game with a team behind it in both writing and illustration than any other itchio visual novel Ive ever played
Hey I finished the game recently and I loved the storyline. The ending left me in shambles, so I just wanted to ask and confirm. In the End, did she pass on or remain in Talha Bruma? or maybe came back? Cuz I really feel sad for the protagonist because it feels like he was left alone in the end with no one having that connection those two shared and being reminded of what he lost.
I'm really happy you enjoyed the storyline! The whole story was written with a lot of care, but I wanted the ending to feel special for those invested on it. I'm not a fan of open endings, so I wrote the answer on this image to avoid spoilers for those reading the page. https://ibb.co/2sPCn7Q
Thank you for putting my mind to rest. The ending truly is beautiful in its meaning and the lessons it carries and a part of me hopes that those two have a chance to meet again on the other side in the far off future.
So I finished the game, I think. Just want to make sure, is there just the one ending? It felt a little... unsatisfying? I guess? It felt like a "normal" or "bad" ending as opposed to a "true" ending. Sorry if that hurts to hear, it just felt strangely anticlimactic. The chapter 2 ending genuinely felt more like a finale than this.
Aside from that, I really enjoyed the game! The characters were lovable. The dialogue flipped from deeply melancholic, to laugh-out-loud hilarious. And the art and music were both sublimely done. The puzzles coulda been a bit harder, and the lewdest scenes in the game were rather tame for something billed as an eroge, but I was all-in-all very impressed by the whole experience.
A solid 8/10 from me. Well done.
Also there should've been an ending where we stayed genderbent into a cute girl. I would've added a whole point just for that.
Thanks for the feedback! Criticism is welcome actually, It's important to know from players what they felt during the ending, even if it was negative.
The idea initially was to have two endings, with a choice leading to two different conclusions, but I wondered if making it possible to choose between two paths would cheapen the ending, so I decided to go with something more dramatic for the one ending that we do have.
Still, I'm glad you had a positive experience overall! I could've went harder on the lewd content, I agree. It seems to be a consensus from most of the feedback. If I end up making a second game, I'm sure to take that to heart!
Gratz on the release. But I ran OccultRewrite.exe and it didn't start for some reason. Windows 10, game is data drive. Tried running as admin, still no dice.
Sorry for the delay, I went through the files on the PC version, one of the archives got misplaced during the zipping. I just reuploaded the build, it'll be live in about 30 mins, you can download the game again and it should be working!
The other endings are achieved by following different paths, and choosing certain dialogue options. Some of the endings are actually achieved by failing a few puzzles. One of the endings lead chronologically to the last chapter that'll be soon released and updated with the game.
The dev is the person who replied to you, lol. They posted a development update on their Twitter page a little less than a month ago. So progress is being made.
I have a bug to report. During the encounter with the Spider woman in the basement, if you click on any of the 3 pieces of evidence on the left side of the screen it will trigger the line of dialogue that happens when you fail the puzzle in the Mansion Corridor from chapter 1. From there you are locked into solving the Corridor puzzle and progressing through the game as if you haven't even gotten to the first loop yet.
At least I'm pretty sure its a bug. Maybe it's a feature.
That's working as intended! See because of the time dilation caused by the island core, the spider woman has the ability to-
Nah, I'm kidding. It's totally a bug. In fact, by your description, I believe I know exactly what's causing it too. Thanks for the report, I'll revise the code and update the build by tomorrow.
Surprisingly high quality, one of the better games I've played, love the attention to detail!
However the auto-skip dialogue lines (when someone gets interrupted) are a little too fast, I have to check history whenever that happens to see what they just said. I tried min/maxing auto-forward setting but it didn't work, maybe that's not it?
Also some scenes depict various types of clothing damage, maybe the Now Speaking panel (during and after the scene) should reflect it somewhat? Just an idea of course.
I had a couple people tell me the character "interruptions" were too fast. I made them a little longer to give people time to read them, but I guess they're still too short. I'll make sure to revise them on another update soon.
The character portraits showing some of the effects happening on-screen is definitely something I'll be adding for the next chap!
Thanks for the feedback, hope to see you for the final entry soon!
We'll still be supporting the android version! It'll be included in the standard version's ZIP in a few days. It just needs a little bit of extra tweaking since the port has to be playtested on a touch screen to ensure all the new mechanics work on a phone as well.
Someone mentioned before that the naraka puzzle was indeed a little hard to follow. For the next chapter I've designed a couple other puzzles that won't be so vague. Hopefully that'll make them more intuitive.
Also about the name- well, all I can say is that they're setup like that for a reason~
Nice Job, you can really tell that this game is a work of love. One thing on the English: You dont use the past tense if you already habe "did" in the sentence. For example: Its "I did find something" instead of "I did found something"
Hi, are u going to make a patreon or there are other way to buy the game? I played the free version and I was going to buy the game but paypal just acept payment in dolar (I'm brazilian too, so I can't do that), so if there is another option I'd like to support ^^
With the next chapter's development underway, I'm also planning a Steam release very soon. That'll make it easier for people to keep in touch with the game and allow them to pay with different kinds of currency.
Also I'm happy another brazilian got to play the game! I hope you enjoyed some of the folkoric references. A little trivia: Originally the game was supposed to have a complete translation to PT-BR. In fact, if you dig around the files, you'll likely find several translated assets. Sadly, the game didn't get as much traction with the brazilian community, so I decided to cut it and focus on different parts of the development.
Nice, quando for lançado na steam eu vou comprar, real adorei o jogo e as referências, é uma pena que a comunidade br não tenha se animado tanto pra ele, é muito bom!
Unfortunately no. Both PC and Android versions are the same content wise, but I made the mobile port as a nice bonus to those who could contribute with some monetary support.
forgot t add this. The game is not scary, we’ll chapter 1 isn’t. But 1 scene and 1 scene only scared the most. Solar tickling felt so unnatural, the rapid movements, like on a broken robot. Creepy stuff
Oh, good catch. There used to be a twitter account dedicated to a much older version of the game which I deleted to avoid confusion. Apparently the link was still being redirected there. Should be fixed now!
It depends on that you consider "special scenes" but there are over 10+ unique CGs. Some of these scenes and dialogue are optional, so you can miss them on a first playthrough if you don't investigate throughly.
May i confirm that all hidden CGs (the feet scene doesn't count cuz it's on twitter) involves clicking "pop-ups" of items, right? I've played around a few times and i think i've found them all.
Yes, in the first chapter you can get most optional scenes by examining the items that appear during specific sections. The feet one you get by examining the scenary and the tickling one you get by choosing a certain option. I made them all really easy to access so the player is unlikely to miss them, but for the next chapter, I'm thinking of making these scenes harder to get to. i.e: making them route specific, or tie them to puzzles. That should give the player a nice sense of achievment/reward.
So, without spoiling anything, I've enjoyed the game so far, but Is there a guide for part one? Or are there only 2 endings? Is the solar ending the true ending for part one or am I missing something, ive tried alot of things but can only get it and midnight. Again good game, and can't wait for part two if it is the true ending for part one.
If you've reached the "Solar Ending" then yes, that's the one that'll lead directly into the next chapter once released! The other endings are what you'd call "bad ends" such as the "Distrust" end you get by failing to answer correctly at a certain point in the game.
Okay, got it, thank you, I actually replayed the game several times because I wasn't sure if that was the true ending or not lol. Anyhow, I enjoyed the first part, can't wait for the next!
There's no full nudity, I'll say that outright. The way the game handles it's erotic content leans more on the "ecchi" type, if you're familiar with that kind of anime/content, rather than downright pornography. Even going forward, my goal with this game is to write erotic scenes, not explicit sexual ones.

Hey! Thanks for playing it!

Have fun!
Awesome! Thank you
Does this version of the game here on itch.io includes a Steam key perhaps?
Would be nice to have the game on both platforms.
It does not, sadly. I believe including steam keys on paid games from different stores goes against Steam's agreement.
I see, btw is this game completed? I heard that the last chapter was not released and that the dev disappeared...is that true?

Does this game have a gallery for the “scenes”?
Not right now, but there's gonna be one in the form of an artbook I'll be putting out real soon with all the CGs, illustration and a endings guide
I like thighs, but there ain’t no thighs. But there is horror, which I also like.
Sooooooo it all equals out
"Add more scary thighs next chapter."
Aaaaan noted!
this is what I’m talking about. A good game developer
Neat, found this on f95, just bought a copy.
Thanks!
Have fun with the game. Let me know how your experience was afterwards!

Are you guys dropping mobile updates/support? The download (non demo) that I get is just the zip with the exe, no sign of an apk..?

whew. thanks for the answer. glad to hear it... read it? YOU GET THE UDEA D:
Just finished, really great and I can't wait to see how you flesh it out.
I did find the budda puzzle confusing, got it by trail and error despite noting down the order...
I would also replace the "me" with the given name, I wasn't sure if "I" was still about to appear at some point
Looking forward to the rest
I'm happy you enjoyed it!

Yeah, there's a couple of mistakes like those people pointed out. I'll keep that one in mind when reviewing the script in the next patch
imagine getting stabbed
Is this lesbian?
What age rating would you give this game and for what content?
Taking the ESRB as a base, the game would be "M", 17+ for sexual content and strong language.

nice story creepy
Nice! Thanks for playing it on your channel
how many endings are there?
The first chapter has 3 endings in total, two early endings and one true ending that'll lead into the next chapter
I got both of the early endings (Midnight and Solar), but I don't know how to get the true ending.
EDIT: Never mind; I got the true ending; the ending I didn't get was Distrust.
wanted to be first comment, but you know itch.I’m did something, causing me from not being the FIRST, but hey.
game good, and no, I, rather be the one hitting, not being killed.
got the solar end. May I ask how many special scenes there are, and endings

it was quite a twist. I thought it was romance end, but nope it was *beep* beep* *beep beep* and *beep*
There's no full nudity, I'll say that outright.

Oh, that you'll certainly get to see, don't worry about it haha.
For the next chapter I'm planning a couple more "revealing" scenarios
